Description
This video demonstrates Laparoscopic Myomectomy with Tubal Ligation by Fallope Ring. Fallope ring sterilization is a type of permanent birth control. During a laparoscopic tubal ligation, the fallopian tubes are blocked by falope ring to permanently prevent pregnancy. The tubal ring (also called the Falope ring, Yoon ring, or Lay loop) is a small silastic band placed around a loop of the fallopian tube. With this method of tubal ligation, a 2-3 cm segment of fallopian tube is drawn inside a narrow applicator. The silastic ring is then released onto the tubal loop. Laparoscopic Myomectomy, sometimes also called fibroidectomy, refers to the surgical removal of uterine leiomyomas, also known as fibroids. In contrast to a hysterectomy, the uterus remains preserved and the woman retains her reproductive potential. It still may impact hormonal regulation and the menstrual cycle.
