Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is becoming popular as a stand-alone bariatric procedure for morbid obesity. The laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy technique has evolved over the years towards standardization. Better standardization has minimized complications such as leaks, stricture, and weight regain. Adequate posterior dissection up to the hiatus and the linear sleeve without a torque can be safely performed.
